The College entered into its first agreement with IIT Bombay's Spoken Tutorial Programme — opening the door for students to access free, high-quality training in popular software courses leading to NME-ICT certifications. From this point onwards, several batches of students have benefitted year after year.
The agreement with IIT Bombay was renewed in 2021 to give a renewed impetus to student training in various IT-based courses — signalling a strong, ongoing institutional commitment to digital skill-building for our students.
A preliminary workshop was conducted by Mr. Tanvir, Training Manager, IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorials (Ministry of Education, Govt. of India) in the virtual mode. The faculty training workshop familiarised attendees with the scope and details of courses offered, alongside a detailed overview of the student enrolment process and testing procedure.
A virtual Mentor Meeting was facilitated with Mr. Tanvir to provide a platform for faculty mentors to comprehensively understand the registration process. Following these workshops and meetings, various faculty members successfully registered students into a wide range of software courses, paving the way for the certification examinations.
Following the registration drive, certification examinations for students enrolled in different Spoken Tutorial software courses were successfully conducted from May 30 to June 10, 2022. The smooth conduct of the examinations was made possible by dedicated faculty serving as organisers and invigilators across multiple sessions.
